South Africa's largest beachfront caravan park has a great deal for senior citizens

Scottburgh Caravan Park — proudly known as "The One on the Beach" — is a multi-award-winning beachfront resort just 30 minutes south of Durban, with over a kilometre of beachfront, rock pools, a tidal pool, freshwater swimming pools, and loads to do nearby.

• Seniors must be on pension and older than 60 to qualify.

• A pensioner daily rate per person applies during low and mid season.

• The pensioners' daily rate is not available during Easter or high season.

• Monthly senior citizens' rates are available during the pension period (15 January to 30 November).

• Monthly rates are available for a pensioner couple (11–30 days) or a single pensioner (18–30 days), in low and mid season.

• Additional family members can join a pensioner's monthly booking at a per-night rate for adults and children.

• A monthly beachfront fee applies in addition to the monthly rate.

• Bookings cannot start or end during the April school holidays.

• ID and a pensioner card are required.

• Dogs under 7kg are welcome (maximum 2), with a monthly dog fee applicable — no dogs during high season.
